Why you should get a devil's backbone plant today

I'm a bright foliage plant lover and pretty sure you are too! If you are looking for something that is going to make a stunning décor piece in your home, consider a zig-zag plant, or devil's backbone.

These plants make amazing décor pieces and purify your air, they come in variegated colours from lovely deep pink to heavenly light green. Read this post to know why next time you visit your local nursery you must grab a devil's backbone.

Stunning Appearance

These succulent plants are an indoor gardener's perfect choice, not only do they have variegated unordinary leaves, they include stems that are zig-zag shaped which gives them a beguiling appearance.  Keep your devil's backbone indoors in a bright area next time to stun those family and friends that come over next time!

Visitors that come over to our house get their eyes caught at my plant immediately, they often forget what was intended for their visit and question regarding the decorative plant. I then realized that since everybody as well as my family enjoys seeing it soo much, it would be great if more were available at our home. After purchasing another plant that was, unfortunately, a bit ill and unhealthy, I noticed many bad differences from the time we got it to the current moment, so I did all the remedies possible but the plant still was losing its glamorous look. After making many unpractical decisions, I made up my mind to let it grow nicely outside as it would receive a great amount of light and perfect conditions. Glad enough to let you know it's doing quite better than before and makes a lovely outdoor plant also! Read the next reason why a devil's backbone is also great outdoors.

Perfect hedges

Ever wondered how to cover those open fences your garden is surrounded by, feeling like you need some privacy that requires a low budget? Well then don't reck your mind into building walls, buy some devil's backbone plants that are quite cheap in comparison to making walls. You'll need to be a little patient and take care of your plant walls until they grow into bright astonishing hedges that allow you to have your own privacy.

Easy Care

These plants are super easy to care for and don't require nothing much, just keep their soil moist and don't overwater them.  Preferably if you have a clay pot for them it'll do great, plastics and cement will be okay too however clay pots do the best for this plant type. It absorbs the water allowing the plant to have a moist and ideal environment, but if a clay pot doesn't suit your aesthetic like me as they can get white or even moldy, you could place the clay pot into a decorative ceramic or cement pot, it'll do great. In any pot of your choice, whether it be plastic or clay, make sure there are large decent drainage holes so that the water wouldn't be stagnant within the pot, as a result, the plant would be severely damaged by root rot.

Remember to provide this plant as much light that is however indirect, direct light will cause its leaves to wilt and get scorched a lot.

Simple to propagation

By the end of this post, I'm assured you're obsessed with these plants, but what if you already have one and want more? Don't put that money into the trash and worthlessly get more, while pruning you could cut a few pieces from the plant and propagate babies from the mama plant! This plant is very easy and simple to propagate while the results of multiple new plants would be priceless.

Well then, assuming you are planning a trip to the nursey to get a load of devil's backbones and start a new collection!
